"Diverticulitis (di-vur-tik-u-LI-tis) occurs when one or more diverticula in your digestive tract become inflamed or infected. Diverticula are small, bulging pouches that can form anywhere in your digestive system, including your esophagus, stomach and small intestine. However, they're most commonly found in the large intestine."
So basically in a nut shell, her colon is very infected! The doctor admitted her to the hospital today and she is not doing very well. She must receive surgery to reconnect her colon as it has partially collapsed and is full of infection. She has needed this surgery for a long time, but was not able to afford the $3050 to have it. Now she must have this surgery as it is life or death for her! I found out today, that she is scheduled for surgery July 11th, however if she doesn't have the money, she doesn't have the surgery. So that's is? That's what happens? If she can't afford an expensive invasive surgery she may die? Really? Why? So many questions and it all just doesn't seem fair! It is terribly sad that she has no insurance and may not be able to have this surgery! When I heard, honestly, I couldn't wrap my head around it. How can money decide if someone will live or not? Not fair!
So this is what I need from you! My family and I cannot pay for this surgery on our own, but I know there are so many big hearted people in this world who would love to help Auntie Susan! I am holding a charity auction for her next Tuesday (June 26) I know it is short notice, but life throws unexpected curve balls at us and we must dodge them and keep going! I know with your help we can raise money for my Auntie and help her get the surgery she so desperately needs. If you would like to auction of an item please email me a photo/s, your FB fan page, and value to email@example.com. If you would like to donate cash there is a handy donate button right below this. No amount is too big or too small and PLEASE share this with everyone you know! I know together we can pull together and do this!
thank you everyone and if you are the praying type, please say a small prayer for my Auntie
